Ridgid 12” Sliding Compound Bevel Miter Saw with Stand

One review from Pro Tool Reviews said, “While other miter saws are playing at being tough, the Ridgid MS1290LZA 12-inch sliding compound miter saw takes a different approach. It actually is.” This is a contractor grade saw, with a large table and easy, intuitive adjustments. Can do a 60 deg bevel either direction, and 48 deg bevels. Good reliable 12” saw, includes some used blades. The dust bag is pretty useless, so I usually used a vacuum. The bracket on the saw guard is also too weak, they are still available as aftermarket, I’m just careful and go without the guard – makes it a lot easier to see the cut anyway. I also don’t bother with the laser; I’m sure the batteries are long dead and I don’t know if it works. Otherwise, everything works well. A very reliable and versatile saw.
The stand collapses with large wheels to handle rougher terrain, and there are wide extenders either side for long boards. Cuts a full 14” deep at 90 deg.
I bought this saw new, but now I’m retired and it’s time to sell. Located for pick-up in Pambrun, SK.
